Temagami Access Road/Mine Landing
An invasive form of Phragmites has been found on the Temagami Access Road/Mine Road near the landing. The Teme Augama Anishinabek and the Temagami Lakes Association abated the plant in 2025 and 2026.
Jumping Caribou Lake
Apparently, there is a possible patch of invasive Phragmites near Jumping Caribou Lake along Highway 11.
Marten River
Interestingly https://iNaturalist.ca is showing Phragmites australis ssp. americanus near Marten River, see https://www.inaturalist.ca/observations/180662188 and https://www.inaturalist.ca/observations/180479395
Phragmites australis ssp. americanus is native.
https://inaturalist.ca does have this site at Marten River for the non-native Phragmites australis ssp. australis https://www.inaturalist.ca/observations/26999688
It would be good to get out there and confirm the species.
